How to Display Your Vinyl: A Styling Guide

Whether you've got two records or two hundred, the way you present them at home is worth thinking about. Here's how to make your vinyl look as good as it sounds.

Pick a focal point

The best record displays aren't scattered — they're intentional. Choose one wall, shelf, or corner and commit to it. A cluster of stands grouped together creates visual impact. One record propped up on a bedside table makes a quiet statement. Both work. Spreading them across every room does neither.

Show what you love, not everything you own

Displaying records is curation, not storage. Rotate what's on show. Put the albums you've been playing lately front and centre. Swap them out when your listening changes. It makes the display feel alive rather than decorative wallpaper.

Mix heights and orientations

If you're displaying multiple records, vary the setup. Some upright on stands, some leaned, some propped at different heights on a shelf. The eye wants something to travel across — give it a reason to move.

Let the colours do the work
